Stockwood Park concert is the centrepiece of a year of borough celebrations

Indie-rock favourites Kaiser Chiefs will headline a landmark outdoor concert in Stockwood Park as Luton marks 150 years since it became a borough.

Billed as “Luton Rising presents: Party in the Park”, the event forms the centrepiece of a year-long programme of celebrations and is set to be one of the biggest community occasions in the town’s recent history. Organisers describe it as a “once-in-a-generation” gathering bringing together music, culture, local talent, community groups and residents — both current and former — to celebrate the people and stories that have shaped Luton over the past century and a half.

General sale tickets went on sale on Monday 8 June at 10am, powered by Ticketmaster, with organisers warning that demand is expected to be high.
